Midweek Bentonville Farmers Market and Live at the Five & Dime Season Kicks Off on May 5th

News

The midweek Bentonville Farmers Market and Live at the Five & Dime will return to Downtown Bentonville on Thursday, May 5th, and run weekly from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm through October.

Dubbed a micro-market,” the Thursday midweek market will offer a rotating array of Bentonville Farmers Market vendors on Main Street in front of The Walmart Museum.  Visitors can expect to see one-fourth of the Saturday Bentonville Farmers Market footprint and vendor participation during the midweek market.

“Our Saturday farmers market is known for showcasing a wide selection of locally-grown, in-season produce, meats, cheese, and more. The Thursday market is a scaled-back version of the large weekend market and serves as an ideal stop on the way home from work for a grocery restock,” said Farmers Market Manager Stephanie Marpe.

Visitors to the Thursday Bentonville Farmers Market are invited to bring a chair and enjoy live music on Main Street. Live at the Five & Dime is held each Thursday (weather permitting) at 5:30 pm and is hosted by The Walmart Museum. Live at the Five & Dime is a free, all-ages community music event. The series is a collaboration between The Walmart Museum, Downtown Bentonville Incorporated., The University of Arkansas Department of Music, and Northwest Arkansas Jazz Society.
