'DWTN NOW’ MOVES TO KFSM-TV

News

Bentonville, AR - Downtown Bentonville Incorporated and its media division, DWTN Media, are announcing a new home for the debut of ‘DWTN Now’ Season 3.  Beginning Sunday, April 8th at 10:30 am, ‘DWTN Now’ will air weekly on 5News (KFSM-TV) throughout Northwest Arkansas.

‘DWTN Now’ is a 30-minute show focusing on the stories that make Bentonville and Northwest Arkansas a special place to live, work, and play.  Each week, hosts Dana Sargent Schlagenhaft and Aaron Nolan will guide viewers with unique stories about exceptional people and places in our city.

Sargent Schlagenhaft has worked for over two decades in the communication field both as a news anchor and a corporate communications expert.  She helped build, produce, and was the first news anchor at Fox24 to bring stories to Northwest Arkansas.

Nolan spent 17 years in the news industry.  He has been to two Olympic games covering Arkansans, and most recently helped launch a cable network (NewsNation) in Chicago where he was a weekend anchor and digital host.

KFSM-Channel 5 is the highest rated local television station, and 5News is #1 in every local newscast in the Northwest Arkansas TV market.

Sargent Schlagenhaft said, “Storytelling has never been more vital to helping our audience stay informed about what’s happening in our growing downtown. Aaron and I live in Bentonville with our respective families, we work downtown every day, and we’re each raising our children here. We’re telling stories that matter in the home that we love. Channel 5 has been a natural fit for our show and we immediately felt at home with their energetic, positive team!

Van Comer, President and General Manager of KFSM-TV agreed, “‘DWTN Now’ is the perfect complement to ‘CBS Sunday Morning’ and ‘Face the Nation’.  Viewers will be treated to fresh content about what makes this region a great place to work and play.”

In addition to ‘DWTN Now’, KFSM-TV will also air the Bentonville Christmas Parade on December 25, 2023.

‘DWTN Now’ is made possible by our generous season sponsors, Community Coffee and Cameron Smith and Associates.  Also thanks to our community partner, The Walton Family Foundation.
