As Bentonville Farmers Market On Saturday Sets Records, The Thursday Market Returns

News

The 2023 event season began with a record-breaking Bentonville Farmers Market for DBI.  Saturday, April 8th was the first Bentonville Farmers Market of the year and sales topped $90,000, easily surpassing the all-time record for sales in the 20-year history of DBI.

Stephanie Marpe, DBI Operations Manager, said, “Breaking records is always exciting. Having the community attend our events and support our local makers, artisans, and farmers is what the Farmers Market is all about. While we set the bar high, we expect this to propel us to greater things in 2023, and that includes our upcoming Thursday market.”

The highest record sales day for a Saturday Farmers Market was $73,479 on September 3rd, 2022.  Last year set a record for total season sales, topping $1.7 million for the year.

Shoppers will have more chances to visit the market with the return of the Thursday Bentonville Farmers Market on May 4th. This market is a smaller, more intimate one that allows Bentonville residents to pick up their favorite locally-grown produce in the middle of the week.

Join us on the Bentonville Square for this FREE family-friendly event, every Thursday from 5-8 PM.  The Farmers Market on Thursdays will run from May 4th through September 28th.
