Downtown Bentonville Inc. Announces Support for The Wall That Heals

(Bentonville, AR) – Today, Downtown Bentonville Inc. expressed appreciation for a donation made from the Better Courthouse, Better Benton County campaign to help fund The Wall That Heals visit to Bentonville over Memorial Day.

“Having The Wall That Heals visit Bentonville over Memorial Day weekend is a great honor,” said Andrew Heath, executive director of Downtown Bentonville Inc. “It will take the entire community’s support to setup and maintain The Wall while it is here. DBI is extremely grateful for the financial support of the Better Courthouse, Better Benton County campaign in helping us reach our goal to provide this experience to our community.”

The Wall That Heals is a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a mobile Education Center, and is coming to Bentonville from May 23rd to May 27th. The Wall will be placed at Buckyball Field located at the entrance to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and will be open 24 hours a day, beginning at 12:01am on May 23rd and closing at 1:00pm on May 27th. This experience is free to the public.  The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in the Vietnam War and it bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.
