Bentonville to Launch Drive-Thru Farmers Market

Bentonville, AR – The Bentonville Farmers Market will kick off its 2020 season on Saturday, May 2nd, with a drive-thru market.

“The farmers market is an essential food service for our community. The Downtown Bentonville, Inc. team worked alongside city officials to quickly modify the market so that we can continue to support the 40+ food producers and vendors that rely on sales throughout our farmers market season,” said Andrew Heath, Downtown Bentonville, Inc. Executive Director.

In order to follow social distancing guidelines amid the COVID-19 health crisis, the market will move from its normal location on the Bentonville Square to Memorial Park.

Here’s how it will work:

Heath said vendors will be wearing masks and gloves and urges customers to do the same.

The Bentonville Farmers Market will be held at Memorial Park every Saturday morning from 8:00am to 1:00pm until further notice.

“Our Saturday morning farmers market not only contributes to the economic stability of our region, but it is a popular social event that produces a strong sense of community. Even if it’s from a distance and from the safety of our vehicles, we need that feeling of togetherness now more than ever in Bentonville,” Heath said.
