Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson announced Thursday that districts would begin school the week of August 24th (but no later than the 26th) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the heels of the statewide announcement, Bentonville Schools sent an update to parents offering an extended deadline to decide between Blended Learning and Virtual School.

The original deadline was Wednesday, July 8th.

The new deadline is now 11:59 pm on July 22nd.

The extended deadline allows Bentonville parents to decide between blended and virtual learning after a key July 21st vote from the Bentonville School Board. The board will be voting on the school district's recommendation to make face masks mandatory for students.
