Fresh Eggs From Farmers Market keep you Worry Free From Salmonella!
With all the attention from the media about contaminated eggs and the additional worry of secondary egg products being questioned for contamination naturally gives me much more appreciation for the Farmers Market. This outbreak of Salmonella continues with the recall of nearly half a BILLION shell eggs represented by 13 brands, Half a BILLION Eggs!! It is of course not the first USDA and industrial complex "oops" with the publics health and probably not the last. The incident makes me imagine factories filled with chickens being fed gastly amounts of "food" with the sole purpose of laying eggs, how unnatural! If this doesn't slap you in the face with perspective on the flaws of our current food system, take another look.
This weekend we will have Fresh & Local Eggs, Produce, Meat, Baked Goods and Prepared foods. Savor the Fresh natural taste of local produce every Saturday 7am - 1pm on the downtown square and every Wednesday 4pm - 7pm across from Walmart home office.

A less fresh egg will contain a flatter yolk, that may break easily and a thinner white that spreads quite far over the plate.
